Meet The Team

Sophomore, Gabby Zappulla is Captain and official driver for the Roborays. Gabby has 6 years of experience with FIRST, starting with FLL to FRC. Due to her many years apart of the FIRST community she has worked hard to attend the Razorback Competition (FLL), Worlds competition (FLL) and been apart of the Global Innovation competition (FLL) in Washington DC. Gabby loves learning how to use the advance equipment and is excited to continue on her journey in FRC, and hopes to take the team to the next level!

Freshman Daniel Vandersluis is manipulator and building assistant for the Roborays! After 3 years of being in the robotics field he is working closely with the team to get ready for this years challenge. Daniel has experience from FLL to FRC and has been lucky enough to attend the Razorback Competition (FLL). Daniel favorite part of FIRST has been his journey from FLL to FRC, as well as his growth of learning in Core Values to mechanical engineering!

Freshman Bree Hamilton is the Marketing manager of the Roborays. This is her first year of Robotics and she has taken on the additional task of creating the teams website, along with managing all social platforms. Bree is more than ready for this years competition, and is excited to experience her first competition!

Freshman Tavi Hunt is the official Coder for the Roborays. He's been apart of FIRST for 2 years! Tavis favorite part of competitions is the experience of the arena and technique in competitions, as well as learning more about engineering. His journey of learning about coding has been hard but one he has learn from tremencly. This season, he is very excited to represent Seacrest in the FRC!

Freshman Tyler Grooms is the official electrician for the Roborays. His interest in electrical work might lead him to a future career. He plans to get more hands-on experience in building. Tyler has been apart of the Seacrest team for about 2 years and continues to work towards the competition this season!

Junior Isabella Gaglio is recent addition to the Roborays, and is new to the FIRST community. She is the newest addition to the building team. Her interest are in engineering and mechanical design. She is exited to join the team and is even more exited for her first FRC competition.

Freshman Ryan Leithauser is recent addition to the Roborays, and has 2 years of robotics experience under his belt. He is the Safety Manger of the team following in his brothers footsteps. Ryan is most exited about FRC using his drive to compete. Even though he doesn't attend Seacrest he is a great addition to the team and is excited to participate in this seasons FRC in West Palm! 

Maddie has been apart of the FIRST program for 2 years. She is on the coding team as well as being the human player of the team. Maddie is exited to learn more about coding and is exited to attend her first FRC competition due to COVID. 

Supervisor Robert Paxton has been working with the Roborays for 2 seasons. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and has worked in aerospace. This season he is proud to bring his team to the First Robotics Competition!
